Conference statement by participants at the second LWF hermeneutics conference in Eisenach, Germany, 20-27 March 2013.

The process of understanding a biblical text reaches its goal when the text becomes effective in the lives of the reader and listener. Employing Lutheran hermeneutics requires that we give attention to the manner in which Luther read and interpreted the Psalms, and reflect the hermeneutical principles used in the Lutheran tradition.
