On the Future of Namibia
“We have discovered that the role of the church has not come to an end with the lowering of the South African flag,” says Bishop Kameeta in this interview on the eve of celebrating 25 years of independence in Namibia.
Kameeta, newly elected Minister of Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare in Namibia, names the issues of poverty, HIV/AIDS and violence against women and children as the three priorities to be addressed in order to create a bright future for Namibia in the years to come.
The church also has a role in highlighting these issues and to be prophetic, Kameeta says.
