The LWF commits to demonstrating its accountability in every aspect of its work. This is the reason why we regularly request independent recognized organisms to audit our work. The certification process provides organizations like the LWF with independent, external assessment, leading to issuing certifications of compliance to the higher standards.
Our active certifications
Since 2019, the LWF holds a quality certification delivered by the ZEWO Foundation, based in Switzerland. Zewo sets 21 standards for Swiss charities covering ethics and integrity, corporate governance, efficient use of funds, results, true and fair accounting, transparency, accountability as well as fundraising and communication. The seal is an indication to donors that their donations are in good hands.
The Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS) is a globally recognised voluntary standard that sets out Nine Commitments that organisations and individuals involved in humanitarian response can use to improve the quality and effectiveness of the assistance they provide. LWF World Service adheres to the CHS and is currently undertaking CHS self-assessments in all its country programs. More details on the CHS and the self-assessments can be found at the following links:
