Toward a more open and diverse church  

As part of the European Diaconal Process, participants from 11 LWF member churches in Europe will attend this in-person workshop on the theme “Conviviality: Diaconal Life in Diversity” in Tallinn, Estonia.

They will produce learning materials for a handbook on diaconal practices. The resource will be offered as a learning program toward more open approaches in increasingly diverse societies. The learning program will be available to congregations, church organizations, teachers and trainees in church social work and other fields.

Topics covered include the intersection with politics, economy and work, creation and the environment.

Conviviality – the core concept of living together in society- is a central theme of the regional process carried out in collaboration with the Czech Republic-based International Academy for Diaconia and Social Action (interdiac).
