Strengthening “Thriving churches”

The LWF's new Strategy, 2025-2031, Sharing Hope—Empowering Churches—Impacting the World, emphasizes the importance of leadership formation for the sustainability of the member churches churches.

Both laypeople and clergy are formed into leaders to sustain the churches, equipping them to engage with complex issues.

The LWF envisions thriving member churches where leaders are engaged in responsible theology and practice of transformative leadership, fostering respectful dialogue and continuous learning and growth.

With this vision in mind, the LWF Leadership Seminar “Thriving Churches” will bring together General Secretaries from across the African region.
