Workshop Wittenberg

One of the most exciting Lutheran youth workshops has entered its second week. Gathering young people from virtually every country in which the Lutheran church is present, Workshop Wittenberg is a fortnight of discussion, worship, the chance to build community and to equip young Lutherans to continue contributing to the ongoing reformation. It is also designed to inspire participants on their journey of faith. Follow the workshop here with livestreaming, video blogs, social media feeds and updated Flickr galleries.

Young Reformers learn about Martin Luther’s city and life

A two-week international workshop hosted by The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) for young Lutherans began on 23 August in Wittenberg, the city of the Reformation, with colour and excitement.

The workshop afforded today’s young reformers the opportunity to learn about the first young reformer, Martin Luther, and his experiences in the 16th century. Participants learned about his life and work during a guided tour of the city.

The workshop kicked off with opening worship in the Castle Church, where the Luther posted his 95 Theses, followed by a reception by the state and city officials in the town hall.
