This message comes from the 2014 meeting of the three LWF regions in Europe (Central Eastern Europe, Central Western Europe, Nordic Countries).

It addresses the current state of refugees and migrants entering Italy and the local advocacy, diaconal actions and ecumenical efforts being enacted in order to help those in need. 

It also highlights the inherent challenges facing displaced people arriving from the Near East and Africa specifically, and advocates for a more balanced and just division of responsibility among the European Union nations in receiving those migrants and refugees.
